We are looking for a motivated and experienced python engineer to join the Hindsight team. We launched our Smart-Tagging product in last year and want to build our backend in Buenos Aires to build a scalable architecture around the system.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Contribute to the development of our backend application with performance, scalability, and simplicity in mind.

- Follow best practices for software development that consistently results in high-quality code.

- Work with the Lead Engineer to refactor current python code into a system that is more modular and production ready

- Implement new infrastructure features and other backend development requirements

We Are Looking for a Motivated Individual Who:

- You have contributed to complex cloud-native applications for several years

- Python is one of your native tongues

- You design highly performant, elegant, simple code; you apply well-known design patterns as appropriate to maximize code scalability and reusability, and you write code that is easily testable and debuggable

- You have experience designing and developing software architectures based on micro services, and you regularly keep up with new technologies and products in the space

- You are a Docker expert and have used it on a regular basis for everything from development to running things in production

- You have experience using SQL and MongoDB

- You want to work in a high growth startup environment where ownership and accountability is a given

Must Have:

- 5+ years of professional software development experience

- Advanced Python knowledge

- Fluent in English

- Strong Linux user with a good understanding of command line tools

- Technical degree or equivalent experience required; computer science or math background highly desired
