Logixboard is a cloud platform focused on the freight forwarding industry. This is a $2 trillion industry, yet it still functions with paper, spreadsheets and email. We are building a cloud platform to transform that industry. In 2020, we went from launching the first version of our product, to serving 30 companies and tracking 1 million shipments for their customers by the end of the year. This is only the beginning.

We’re based in Seattle, USA and the current team is spread across the USA. We are looking to build an engineering + product team in Argentina ASAP.

Initially we are looking for a few senior backend engineers that will help us accelerate the build up of the platform. If you have experience with cloud infrastructure, high volume event processing, large databases and are looking for a new challenge, please reach out to us.

About the position

Our platform aims to provide near real time cargo tracking information to Freight Forwarders and their customers across any mode of transportation (Air, Ocean, Rail, etc.), by aggregating data from sources and presenting it in a modern look and feel.

This role presents multiple challenges of data volume and normalization in a mission critical set up. You will need to rapidly develop domain expertise for each 3rd party system to understand how to best integrate and represent their data in Logixboard, whether by mapping it into our existing data model or extending it.

This is a senior engineering role where we expect you to have experience with similar tools and set up.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing real time/batch system integrations across multiple technologies and providers

  • Modeling the data into our system across all sources to provide a single “true” representation.

  • Owning features through and through, from requirements reviews with our product team, implementation, infrastructure evolution all the way to production.

  • Driving multiple cross functional initiatives where you will have the opportunity to interact directly with customers.

  • Providing guidance and mentorship to other team members.

Your technical skills will include:

  • Production experience with AWS services such as Lambda, Kinesis, S3, RDS and general compute infrastructure.

  • Experience with relational DB (we use Postgres) at scale.

  • Our stack is on NodeJS + Typescript, so experience with that is a bonus, but not a must.

We are looking for somebody:

  • With an empathic, collaborative and consultative work style.

  • Who understands that simple solutions are the best solutions.

  • Who has tinkered with a bunch of programming languages and services and with enough insight across the programming landscape to step into unfamiliar code and make sense of what is going on.

  • Who has 3+ years of real-world experience with modern backend architectures

  • Who can get a team organized. You might effectively be the first hires in Argentina and could end up leading that team.

  • We pay in USD and you will receive stock options.

  • Unlimited time off as long as you coordinate your leaves with us in advance.

  • We will pay a stipend for your health insurance.

  • Working alone gets lonely, so as the team grows (and Covid goes away) we will pay for a co-working space for you and the team to connect.

We're an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status.
