The Position

The Software Developer / Python Developer will be a motivated individual to develop and deliver integrated software solutions to the customer in support of business needs.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop software applications to support key business functions for R&D.
• Coordinate, plan and execute software deployments to production, test and development platforms using documented procedures and tests.
• Work with internal customers to understand and respond to needs.
• Participate actively in the software release process
• Troubleshoot basic problems reported by internal customers, systems, or team members escalating to senior team members as appropriate
• Actively participate in global multidisciplinary product development, process improvement & problem-solving teams
• Participates as a team member on medium and large projects. Ability to manage small projects
• Identifies problems due to recurring incidents. Participates with senior level team members in troubleshooting intermediate problems which may span functional areas.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3+ years' experience in applying current information technology to specific areas of business.
• Strong experience with Python programming, C++, shell scripting (BASH).
• Experience with Web Development (REST API,node.js, react, javascript) is a plus.
• Experience working with DevOps concepts and CD/CI pipeline (Jenkins, Github among others).
• Experience navigating Linux environments.
• Fluency in English, both in writing and in oral communication.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Teamwork, effective listening, and effective collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to timely, high-quality and error-free deliverables.
• Ability to manage issues and problems, as well as deal with ambiguity.
• Ability to translate technical jargon into business language.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
