Python Developer
Satellogic is looking for an advanced Python Developer, to work on the software infrastructure we use in the factory to build our satellites. You must love programming, and have proven software development experience.
In this role, you will:
🞄 Develop highly reliable and available software systems🞄 Use test driven development to write high quality Python code
🞄 Review merge proposals from your team
🞄 Develop prototypes to prove out key design concepts and quantify technical constraints

🞄 Ability to function independently and in a team environment
🞄 Aptitude to learn new software, frameworks, and APIs
🞄 Knowledge of Open source methodologies, tools, and communities
🞄 Version control with Git, and github or gitlab
🞄 Object-oriented design, agile mentality
🞄 Experience with test-driven development and continuous integration
🞄 Great software engineering skills with Python
Satellogic aims to capture every square meter of the Earth's surface to derive insights and enable better decision making for industries, governments, and individuals. Addressing some of humanity’s most pressing challenges, such as providing food or distributing energy for nine billion people without depleting resources, requires real-time planet-scale data. Satellogic has created small, inexpensive satellites, that transmit real-time data and images back home. Our constellation already has several high-resolution satellites in orbit and is growing to 300 in the next 10 years to provide new insights about our planet.
