Senior React + Python Developer

We're looking for a remote senior-level developer. This is a 100% remote, part-time contract, which is expected to kick-off as soon as possible. The developer will work within our client's team, interacting with other remote developers and reporting directly to the client's CTO, so advanced English skills, both spoken and written, are mandatory.

About the project & duration:
We're building from scratch a fintech application that will utilize data from big banks to align their systems around mitigation of operational risk.
MVP is expected to be released by April with ongoing development afterwards.


Must Have Requirements:
    • Extensive experience with Python (3+ years)
    • Data processing, data streaming, big data, ETL, data augmentation
    • Data storage, relational, noSQL
    • DSLs in Python
    • Sandboxed Python
    • Containerized Python
    • Multi tenacity
    • REST APIs
    • Microservices
    • React, Redux, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Webpack, Jest
    • Regularly available via Slack
    • Available to schedule phone calls/meetings during western hemisphere daylight hours.
    • Proficient spoken and written English.
Recommended / Nice to Have:
    • Kubernetes, Helm
    • AWS
    • Hadoop, Elasticsearch
    • Data Integration & Data Mapping
    • CQRS, EventSourcing in Python
    • Machine Learning
    • Serverless - Fission, Lambda, Zappa
    • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
    • Comfortable/skilled at taking over a project in mid-development
    • Work constructively with an existing team (including a talented backend developer, supportive management team looking to empower a smart, confident Xamarin developer with a “get it done” mindset).
