About the role:

Drive all stages of the development process design -> development -> testing -> user acceptance/stage testing -> production release -> monitoring and on-going maintenance.
Own all aspects of projects and components in your care - effort estimations, timelines, code readability, test coverage, production monitoring, impact to users, etc.
Work closely with the Product team to understand the scope and business objectives of proposed features.
Work with a Tech Lead/Eng Manager to align on the technical design, milestones, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

At least 5 years of prior relevant experience building components of distributed systems
Solid python knowledge (key data structures, api, core libraries, mock/unit testing)
Working knowledge of java (mid level is ok)
Solid working knowledge of linux shell
Working knowledge of aws services such as ec2/s3
Understanding of Object Oriented Programming and common software design patterns
Alignment around the philosophy of keeping things simple, writing clean/testable code
Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills in English
Understanding of Agile Development Methodology
